Hi, I’m Silvia Laura, an Italian oil painter based in Amstelveen, The Netherlands.
I have always been fascinated by flowers, not only by their beauty, but by the emotions and memories they can evoke.
A beautiful day, a milestone, a person we love. Through oil painting, I try to capture that feeling rather than simply reproduce what a flower looks like.
That was exactly the idea.
That’s how Lives in Flowers began.
To give every painting real depth, I studied Floriography, the ancient language of flowers, so each one I paint carries a deeper meaning as well as beauty. Blended with the rich texture of fine oil paint, it turns your story into something that speaks its own language.
